We seek to build and promote social agreements between the public and private agents who promote sustainable territorial development in the Maule region. This will be done by using efficient and innovative solutions that reduce the effects of climate change and promote the sustainable management of natural resources.

Among the concrete actions taken into account for the solution to the environmental challenge, we shall consider the following: the efficient use of water resources, the sustainable management of our forests and soils, recycling initiatives, and the incorporation of technologies for waste management and the promotion of clean energy usage, at home and on the industrial level.

The following are questions that encourage social innovation in the Environmental challenge:

• How can we create consumption habits in the community that are friendly to the environment?
• How can we produce energy efficiently integrating our entire support network?
• How do we manage to unite with the communities and their inhabitants to collaborate on the subject of caring for the environment?
• By what means or mechanism do we move towards new ways of recycling and waste management?
• How do we inform and educate each locality in the region about the use of energy?
• How can we cooperate in the conservation and protection of our forests?
• How can we be close to nature without destroying the place we want to inhabit?
• How do we educate and motivate young people to take care of their city?
• How do we promote a culture of protection and conservation of natural resources and their ecosystem?
• What mechanisms could contribute to diminishing the environmental pollution of the region?
• In what ways can we prevent water pollution and educate the people in how to best take care of our oceans?
• How do we make the use of water more efficient in the communities?
